Legislative Positions
If the voter elect Scott Bruzek, he will fight to write legislation and vote according to these principles.
1st Amendment
Reinforce protections for free speech and peaceful assembly
Fiercly defend religious freedom while maintaining separation of church and state; reject efforts to bring christian nationalist principles to our commonwealth and local government.
Protect the right of educators (K-12 and post-secondary) to excercise professional discretion and not be censored by the government.
Rollback/Repeal the 2023 SB 5/150 allowing indivudual community members to ban books for the rest of the community.
2nd Amendment
Protect the right of Kentuckians to keep and bear arms
Repeal the National Firearms Act. Support and Pass 2025 HB 667, Protecting NFA Items from federal regulation.
Support the expansion of Concealed Carry (CCDW) for all legal adults not convicted of a violent felony.
4th Amendment/Privacy
Protect Health Records from Inspection without a judicial warrant, including VA and out of state records.
Protect data of Kencuckians including the right to delete for private company systems.
Reform/Reduce the Surveilance State thtat impact Kentuckians. Reform Automated License Plate Recognition Contracts to beyond those in 2026 HB 58 to limit data sharing with private companies and the federal govennment.
Small Business Reforms
Maximize tax savings for small/medium independent businesses; favoring them over large multinational and private equity/credit owned firms.
Streamline the registration and filing of state and local taxes to reduce the compliance burden on SMBs.
Make it easier for businesses to pass on child care credits though FSAs to help working familes.
Reform the Prescription Drug market in Kentucky to reduce health insurance costs for businesses and their employees.
Education
SEEK - Update & fully find SEEK to properly fund our local schools
Fight for Teacher Pay to encourage our best educators to remain teaching in public schools
Make it easier for businesses to pass on child care credits though FSAs to help working familes.
Defend Educational Autonomy - supporting teachers to teach critical thinking, teaching the next generations to differentiate from fact and fiction, and learn ALL the history, not what only one side wants our children to learn
Encouraging Belonging & Supporting Lawful Immigrants

Streamline the registration and filing of state and local taxes to reduce the compliance burden on SMBs.
Make it easier for businesses to pass on child care credits though FSAs to help working familes.
In increase trust in law enforcement, pass legislation to require that barring exigent circumstances, local and state law enforcement must posess a judical warrant to cooperate with Federal Law Enforcement. Barring sensitive investigations, require that all law enforcement identify themselves.
